LAS VEGAS (July 19, 2011) –Yes! Air Conditioning and Plumbing recently announced the official launch of the Yes! Cares Senior Program, an outreach program that offers support and resources to senior residents throughout the Las Vegas valley. To kick-off the program, Yes! hosted a free summer service day on July 15 at Solera at Stallion Mountain, an active adult community that serves residents age 55 and over.

Throughout the day, Yes! service technicians visited homes in the community to change air filters and program thermostats for residents free of charge. The Yes! volunteers also offered energy and money saving tips to homeowners and one-on-one professional advice for their HVAC-related questions.
“Each of the homes we visited was equipped with the latest programmable thermostats but very few residents knew how to utilize the features of this technology to meet their indoor comfort needs,” said Lance Fernandez, general manager of Yes! Air Conditioning and Plumbing, and area director for the Yes! Cares Senior Program. “We also found that residents weren’t changing their air filters frequently enough during the hot summer months, when their units are running constantly. A little education will go a long way in helping these people save resources and cut down on their summer energy costs.”
The Yes! Cares Senior Program is an extension of Yes! Cares, the company’s community outreach division that was established late last year. After recording a significant increase in the customers residing in senior developments throughout Las Vegas, Yes! Founder Kenneth Goodrich established the senior program as a way to offer support and resources to the community he serves.
To further meet the needs of this growing customer base, Yes! Air Conditioning and Plumbing provides comprehensive training for Yes! technicians, managers and call center team members so they are better equipped to serve the senior community and meet their individual needs. Yes! also conducts local and national background checks on all of its staff to ensure a safe and trustworthy workforce.
With the Yes! Cares Senior Program well under way, it will continue its mission to offer support and resources to the Southern Nevada senior community through free workshops, community events and partnerships with nonprofit organizations that support senior groups throughout the region.
